His paintings were brilliant. Immaculate. Amazing. Their beauty was so radiant. Stunning. Almost dazing. They were sought and wanted by all who gazed upon them. He was praised and vaunted in life and post mortem. But the secret no one knew held close and ever tighter though his strokes were true, he'd rather be a writer.

Her wings be not white but blackened and burned. Singed by the fall her actions hath earned. Her grace is absent. Neither here or there. I cannot find it and I do not care for though her halo be shattered and rent, it changes not that she's heaven-sent.

When she speaks to me, it's your voice I hear. I feel like you're close whenever she's near. She touches my body but you touched my heart. You were much more than one work of art. You were my angel. My one saving grace. When I look at her, I still see your face because, deep down, I know this fact to be true. I can try all I want but I can't forget you.
